About the Course
Parenting in a Social Media World is a live, 2-hour virtual workshop designed specifically for parents of children ages 10 and up. This class provides actionable strategies to help families navigate screen time, social media use, and online safety in today’s digital landscape.
Led by a certified family life educator, the workshop explores:
How to set screen time boundaries and healthy technology limits
Understanding the impact of social media on kids' mental health
How to talk to children about their digital lives and online behavior
Preventing and responding to cyberbullying
Teaching online safety and fostering responsible digital habits
Creating balance between family connection and tech us
Parents will leave with the tools and confidence to guide their tweens and teens safely through social media, support their emotional well-being, and promote digital literacy at home.

Jacael Wallace is a Certified Family Life Educator, Postpartum Doula, Parent Coach, and Pediatric Sleep Consultant with a Master’s Degree in Family Sciences. With extensive experience teaching and supporting families, she is passionate about equipping parents and caregivers to build strong, nurturing relationships. Her family education courses provide practical tools and evidence-based strategies to help participants confidently navigate the challenges of family life parenting.
